The app that I downloaded was Doodle Fit Lite. I thought that it was a fun game. The version that I downloaded was free, there is also a Christmas theme version that is free, the Halloween version is available for 99 cents. This game is for one person to play. The point of the game is that you are given a shape and have to fit the pieces given inside of the shape. After you complete a level you are given a hint that can be used for next time or you can save them and use them later on in the game. You are only allowed to use so many hints per level. Doodle Fit Lite has three different packs to choose from. The first pack has 27 levels, the second has 10 and the third has 10. The levels at the end, that are hard are locked until you complete the levels before them. I think this is a good idea so that students would not challenge themselves to much at first and not be able to solve it. This would be a good app to use in a math class because it deals with shapes and where to place things. Kind of like pentominoes. Before you chose which shape you want to try and solve it will tell you how many solutions there are to the shape and how many that you have found. I thought that was interesting and can challenge me to go and find the other solutions. I had fun playing with this app and would try and use it in my classroom. When students are playing they may not realize that they are learning and using some of their math skills as well.
