Prezi Viewer App

Cost: Free!

Pros: This app allows the prep time for setting up your lesson super quick and fast. You can just click the app and select the Prezi you want to show. While using this app, you can zoom in and out on the parts you want to high light during your presentation. This app allows for great visuals in the classroom and note taking. You can add pictures and videos to creatively design for others to view.
Cons: For this app, you can't create a Prezi document. You would have to create your Prezi on the HTML Prezi website in order to create your document. Sometimes this app takes a little while to load. Another set back to this app is the fact that some links may not work properly. For example, sometimes YouTube videos will not work. Also, I've noticed that the Smartboard pens do not work off the Prezi.

Educational Use: This app is perfect for having your students take notes and visually see items. It's great for catching their eye and have them engaged in your lesson. You can use this app for any subject, anytime of the school day. Whether thats starting the day off with daily announcements, or for math notes, this app is perfect for any occasion.

  1. This is my most favorite app related to educational usage. I use Prezi's all the time to pace my lesson (and so I don't forget anything!) The student's love the look of the Prezi and it's something fresh and new, compared to PowerPoint presentations. Prezi has recently made updates to their system, so it is now easier to use than before, which is a huge PRO. You can use Prezi to document and present any topic you can dream of. This app is definitely the bomb.com.

  2. I used this app to share a presentation using my iPad. It was super helpful and easy to access all the Prezis that I have created. I love the new templates for Prezi. Using it as a presentation tool is a great way to mix things up for your students. The one thing I wish this app could do that I doesn't do would be editing. You can delete or resize items, I wish it worked just like the website did so you could use the full editing tools on your iPad.

  3. I began using Prezi on my own this year, and I love it! I have used it with partner presentations, but my partner usually put together the presentation because they knew more about it then I did. The Prezi Viewer App is really useful, because it does not require you to log-in to your account every time. You just hook up your iPad and begin your presentation. I really enjoy "the look" of a Prezi. It is pretty much a spiced up power point. One con of this App is the fact that you cannot edit your Prezi on it. Also, I noticed that when I update my Prezi on a computer, the Prezi will not update on the Prezi Viewer App unless you restart it. That part is a bit inconvenient, but all in all I love this App because it has all of your premade Prezis there waiting for you.

  4. Last year I started using prezi to show what I was learning in a class. I really enjoy the look of a prezi. It is new and fresh compared to power points and take students to new dimensions by clicking, zooming, and inserting videos. The prezi app is easy to log in to and is great for viewing. The only problem with this app that I had was editing through the iPad. I like to log in to my computer to edit/ arrange them.

  5. I think this is a very handy app because the presenter is able to quickly access their Prezi presentation. It would be nice if there was a way to create Prezis on the app, but the presenter can only view the Prezi they made.
