Teacher's Assistant

Teacher's Assistant:
Student Behavior Tracking

http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/teachers-assistant-pro-track/id391643755?mt=8

Cost: $6.99

Pros:
This app is very user friendly and a great tool for teachers. Teachers can put students' names and pictures into the app and record data from there. Attendance can be recorded in this app as well as different student behaviors. Teachers can keep track of things like chewing gum in class, forgot instrument, brought field trip money, awarded student of the month, etc. Teachers can also email parents right from this app. If a student continually forgets his/her instrument, the teacher can email the list of offenses to a parent or guardian right from the app.

Cons:
It seems that this app is mostly for behavior. I don't think it's really meant to be a grade book, however I think it could be done. To add a field (like the list of things I mentioned above) you push this little plus sign and you can add whatever you want. So I suppose you could add homework assignments too. A lite version of the app is free, but you can only put 5 students into it. So if you want to put a whole class in, you have to pay the $6.99.

I think this app would be very beneficial for teachers to use. It would be helpful for learning names (as you can put pictures into it) and tracking different behaviors of your students.
